Lost Stone Age Tribe Discovered Deep In The Amazon Forest

Working with BBC, for the first time ever, we get to take a look at the actual tribe. The Amazon holds many secrets; but every now and then, a plant or maybe an animal is discovered from deep within it. But very rarely do we hear of the discovery of a tribe of humans lost to the world, hidden in the jungle’s depths. It just so happens that one such tribe has managed to survive for thousands of years unchanged, uninfluenced by modern civilization.

Filmed using powerful zoom lenses a kilometer away in the air, we finally get a glimpse of their daily lives. Their tribe exhibits a stone age culture with their simple tools and weapons; clubs, spears, and bows. The men cover their bodies with red body paint extracted from seeds from the annatto tree. Their shelter, huts made of leaves and wood are surrounded by gardens of manioc, bananas and papaya. A simple tribe living a simple life.

Jose Carlos Morales, working for Brazil’s Indian Affairs Department was appointed to study this remote tribe. The tribe, living near one of Brazil’s most remote rivers in the densest parts of the forest, are one of the last uncontacted tribes left on Earth. Unable to directly contact the tribe, Morales studied them from afar, on a small airplane.Lost Stone Age Tribe Discovered Deep In The Amazon Forest
