Harring10 review : “Nice luxury hotel, but the bed was too hard”
Booked this hotel by accident, I was trying to get into the China World hotel. We had the bed and breakfast special. The room was very large and comfortable. My favorite part was the complimentary Nespresso maker, unfortunately after the first day, they did not replenish the coffee. The room had a very nice and spacious bathroom with a make-up table for my wife, a rain fall shower, and a very comfortable bath tub. We also had a second bathroom with just a toilet. The sofa and chairs were not very comfortable. There were TVs in the living room, bathroom, and bedroom.
The hotel was in walking distance to the metro.
My wife thought the bed was too hard, beds in China are very hard, so they came up to our room and put a quilt above the mattress and under the bed sheet. She still did not sleep well because she is used to a soft mattress. I slept fine. The breakfast was excellent. If not for the bed we would probably be back.

My fiancé and I stayed at New World Beijing Hotel for 4 nights for his first time to Beijing trip. Our friends who stayed here before had raved so much about this place we had to try this place ourselves. We stayed at luxury hotels before but this one triumphs given the rate. Love the Park hyatt'esque deco and luxury hotel service at affordable price! We upgraded our stay and opted for residential lounge access for breakfast included and happy hour (5:30-7:30) - serving drinks and great snack food that could totally be your dinner option.
This also meant that our room was located on a higher floor (9th) with residential lounge located on 10th floor. Every night during our stay we were able to enjoy bubblies and light snack to refresh ourselves from our day tours before we went out to explore the town. The hotel is so close to main attractions. Even for a slow walker like me, Wangfujing street was 20min, Tianamen and Forbidden City around 20min and Temple of Heaven also nearby. Houhai Lake and Sanlitun bar streets are also 20min cab drive away. Also there is a theatre nearby (10-15min drive) that has the must see acrobatics show.
We definitely recommend this hotel for those traveling to Beijing for business or leisure and doesnt want to compromise comfort, convenience and style.

Once again I had a very nice stay (this is my second time at this hotel in a short period of time). Excellent and kind service, good food/breakfast, nice rooms and environment - and a good location too. Also the Residence Club Lounge is very nice with friendly staff and value for money.
